Growing up, we always had animals. Not only did we have cats and dogs, we also had guinea pigs, birds, hamsters, and more. All of those animals meant a lot of time in and out of the vet's office. As a kid, I didn't really appreciate the role that the vet played. When I got older and got pets of my own, I discovered their importance quickly. I was barely eighteen when my Persian cat developed crystals in her urinary tract. The vet quickly determined what was wrong and treated her, saving her life.
